This beautiful song was written by Sting in 1987, in memory of Ben Linder, a peaceful man who died a violent death. Ben was an American engineer who was volunteering in Nicaragua, building hydroelectric schemes for the poorest communities. He was killed along with two Nicaraguan colleagues by the US-backed Contras on April 28th 1987.

There are five parts in this arrangement. 2nd alto part separates from the main alto part from bar 13 (perhaps). And I’ve miscounted, “On and on” starts at bar 25, not bar 21.
