There’s more to our choir than performance – our main focus is to make music and share the joy of singing together.  If you come along to our Monday sessions, that doesn’t mean you have to perform if you don’t feel like it.

But we love to go out and share our music with other people, particularly as part of community events in our area. We sing regularly in Meersbrook Park, and we love to sing around our local streets at Christmas. There’s quite a lot of outdoor singing, so we’ve got pretty good at “Singing in the Rain”.

In December 2022 we hosted our first “Together in Festive Song” concert at the beautiful Upper Chapel in Sheffield. This was a joint concert with the Sheffield Carers’ and Friends’ Choir, and the Inspire Choir from Chesterfield, and it was so joyous that we’re doing it all again in December 2023.

We were so grateful to have had a chance to sing at The Light cinema on the 7th of March 2020, before we were locked away by the pandemic. After just over 18 months, we finally sang in public again in Meersbrook Park on Saturday 11th September 2021 and it felt wonderful.
